Xtreme Knitting: The Giganto Blanket

True Fact: Nothing is better than a quick knit...... However, this is knitting on steroids! You would have to be on roids in order to maneuver these huge "needles" which are, in actuality, PVC.

The Giganto-Blanket Pattern is the brain child of Laura Birek of Nocturnal Knits. I'm interested in getting my hands on some roving and a pair of broom handles and seeing how far that gets me..... I have puny T-rex like arms so I'm guessing not very far, but hey, if you're up for the challenge I'd love to see what you can come up with!

Get yourself 1 1/2" PVC, some UNSPUN wool roving and CO 28sts, K2 P2, BO.... and voila!

You have yourself a ginormous Giganto-Blanket!  (and a whole lot of sore muscles!)

The Never Ending Sweater....

Ahhh, Such is life! I take this very literally. Life can be like a never ending frog fest sometimes. A mistake is made and you don't notice it for a lonnnnnng time until you're several rows in and it can't be ignored.... I guess I'm having a bit of a Peewee moment (minus the subsequent freak out) So I made this little graphic to cheer myself up.

I am this woman! Seriously, we are destined to be besties! I really have got to meet someone this obsessed. It's the only way my husband will stay sane (since he is the person I talk yarn with) ((I know, it's sad but he listens... kinda)) I first came across this video a while back and shared it on Facebook but every now and then I catch myself re-watching it on YouTube! It just encompasses everything that goes on in a knitter's brain. Even down to the stashing of the stash! Even though I have watched it a few times, it still makes me laugh :)
