Hey Girl: Buy My Book

The man knows his needle crafts!

Ryan Gosling is a ridiculously good looking film star....but did you know he has an alter ego? Duh! It's save to say that almost everyone is well aware of Feminist Ryan Gosling by now. What started as a way for blogger Danielle Henderson and her classmates to keep track of feminist theorists they were learning about in class, quickly went viral. Now Ryan is synonymous with pictures featuring "Hey girl" in the corner and some sort of feminist or, in this case, crafty quip.

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy Feminist Ryan Gosling In Book Form; which is kinda the same thing.....

Just look at that face....
((insert Ooooh's and Ahhhh's here))

Rosie the Riveter Gets a Makeover

The "We Can Do It" image gets a bit of a revamp, Zombie Style! Rosie the Riveter, as the image came to be called, is a cultural icon representing the women who worked the factories in World War II. The actual term Rosie the Riveter, coined in a 1942 song written by Redd Evans, was never associated with the image until it's resurgence in the 1980's. In actuality, "Rosie" was 17 year old Geraldine Hoff (later Doyle) who was working as a metal-machine stamping operator.

Today, Rosie enjoys keeping the world zombie free and portraying the Awesomeness of women in general.
