A Little Play on Words

The Holiday Issue of Vogue Knitting is due out November 6th but I got a little glimpse at the cover on FaceBook and was tickled by the phrase "Elegantly Waisted." Hmmmm... reminds me of some of the more talented knitters I know who enjoy a glass of wine with their knitting.... I, myself, need all the focus I can muster ;)

Zombie Apocalypse? There's an App for That!

It's seriously an epidemic. People constantly staring into their phones at any conceivable moment seems to be the norm these days. I can't walk out of my house and NOT see people fiddling with some sort of gadget. In fact, I took my sister to lunch and she was checking me in with her on FB and then posting about the food we were eating, but not before taking a picture of it to send to her "Friends." How exhausting when you can't have a decent conversation or enjoy a good meal without interruption. Wait until all these people have children.... We'll see how often they text one another then! Ha!

.... Seriously, Happy Father's Day to all the Un-Evil Dads out there! Personally, my husband will be receiving some kick ass brownies today (made by yours truly) along with some hand made art from our little minion :)

Sh*t Knitters Say: Yup, Still Funny!

I am this woman! Seriously, we are destined to be besties! I really have got to meet someone this obsessed. It's the only way my husband will stay sane (since he is the person I talk yarn with) ((I know, it's sad but he listens... kinda)) I first came across this video a while back and shared it on Facebook but every now and then I catch myself re-watching it on YouTube! It just encompasses everything that goes on in a knitter's brain. Even down to the stashing of the stash! Even though I have watched it a few times, it still makes me laugh :)
